Looking for a world-class location for sport fishing? Some of the best deep-sea fishing in Mexico is located in Bahía de Banderas (Bay of Banderas). Your captain, Pando, will take you to the hot spots for Mahi-Mahi, Roosterfish, Sea Bass, Sierra mackerel, Snapper, or Tuna, depending on the time of year. 
If you’re lucky, you’ll pull out a large Sailfish or Marlin.Two world records have been set in the bay, one for Wahoo and the other for a Marlin weighing 709 pounds (322 KG). Each year in November, the Riviera Nayarit hosts the International Tuna and Marlin Tournament.

 Surf’s up! Whether a seasoned surfer or a first-timer, our local experienced guides will check the weather forecast and take you to the best breaks for your level guaranteeing a great surf session and improvement in your technique. 

If you are just starting out, you will be taught the essential basics on land before heading to a sand bottom break where you will have the best chance of catching waves and the surfing bug! For the more experienced, there is a wide-range of options including some quality rocky reef breaks, 45-minutes from San Pancho. Expect long rides, and waves suitable for longboards and shortboards.

Step back in time

Hike accompanied by birds and butterflies alongside a riverbed trail, 30 minutes into the lush tropical jungle, exploring and marveling at over 70 petroglyphs (stone carvings) at a sacred and best-kept secret archaeological site. 

This fascinating hidden gem is located 45 minutes north of San Pancho, near the beach town of Chacala. It was discovered over 500 years ago, the Tecoxquines, an ancient Aztecan tribe, are believed to have created the beautiful and compelling carvings over 2000 years ago to communicate with their gods. The Huichol continue to carry out ceremonies to this day. There is a stunning waterfall and lots of swimming holes, and information in English.

Departing from San Pancho early in the morning, our journey to San Blas begins with a 1 ½ hour drive north through the beautiful countryside of Nayarit. Mexico 200 stretches north and connects the bustling tourist destination of Puerto Vallarta in the south with Tepic, Nayarit´s state capital, in the north. Along the way we will pass through the small villages of La Peñita, Las Varas and Zacualpan. Turning westward the route climbs through the mountains providing spectacular view of the ocean and surrounding hills.

Jungle River ToursAs we make our descent from the mountains into San Blas the beach towns of Santa Cruz, Aticama, Los Cocos and Matanchen will come into view. This area war discovered by traveling surfers and is well known for its quality swells, especially Matanchen, which lays claim to the world´s longest rideable wave.

Diva ToursLa Tobara is a pristine freshwater spring unaltered by man. Aboard a panga boat, we will cruise through the maze of natural canals that promise one of the most ecologically important mangrove zones in Mexico. Along La Tobara you will encounter a myriad of tropical creatures. Get up close and personal with crocodiles and wild boars, all behind the safety of chain- link fence, at the cocodrilario. If you look up into the trees surrounding the nursery you might spot an iguana or two. Keep your eyes peeled, they are camouflaged well. Glancing into the dense mangroves, one might catch a glimpse of a green turtle or catfish frolicking in the natural fresh water. The estuaries around San Blas are nationally renowned as birdwatchers paradise and La Tobara is no exception.

They were placed here during the filming of the popular Mexican Movie “Cabeza de Vaca”.
It recounts the history of indigenous people of this area.
Upon hitting dry land, we are off to explore the historical town of San Blas.

San Blas holds many links to Mexico´s glorious past.  Founded in the 18th century by Nuño Beltran Guzman, this port city held great military and strategic importance. Evidence of this can be found at the ruins a top Cerro de San Basilio. The accounting and customs office, La Contaduria offers the visitors a spectacular panorama of the town, ocean and estuaries. The church, Marinera, stands in silent testament to Spanish colonial rule.

Parque Nacional Islas Marietas is a protected marine and wildlife sanctuary, recognized by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve. Over 90 species of aquatic birds, including the extremely rare Blue-Footed Booby, live in the amazing caves and rock formations of this archipelago.
